Mont Pelerin or Mont Pèlerin is a 1080 meter (3540 feet) high mountain and is part of the Swiss Prealps. It is just a stone throw away from Lavaux wine country and the magnificent Lake Geneva. Geographically it falls within the Swiss canton of Vaud. This hike is by far my favorite one in the Canton of Vaud

The word Mont Pèlerin literally means ‘Pilgrim Mountain’, is a destination no landscape photographer can resist not going to. As a result, if you are here in Lavaux or enjoying Lake Geneva, this hiking path is a must go. At 1080 meters it is not the highest around and certainly does not pose too much of a challenge to hike, but it will definitely make you out of breadth. The view from the top of the mountain, however, are worth every bit of pain.
