Because I believe in the spontaneity of emotions and the magic of “stolen moments,” I like to alternate posed photos (portraits of the bride and groom, group photos…) with more spontaneous shots. My approach is inspired by “candid photography,” where the photographer captures moments on the fly without prepared poses or staging. These wedding photos, akin to reportage, stand out for their authenticity. The bride and groom and their guests are often surprised by the results: simpler and more natural portraits, more flattering angles, scenes that are more real and touching… This technique also allows the wedding photographer to work with complete discretion without constantly having to solicit guests and newlyweds!
